A Dreamer
Since I was a child, I always tried to reach something I could not.
Further away it was, more I wanted it, more desperate I was.
I looked at the night sky, wishing to become a star.
I whispered to trees, wishing they could answer me.
I loved the feeling of wind in my hair, wishing I could fly one day.
And I chased birds, wishing they stop flying away from me.
When I grew up a bit, I understood my dreams were naive.
Yet, didn't stop to think, about even more impossible things.
I reached for books, wishing to have the exciting life their characters had.
I reached for movies, wishing everything I saw and heard was for real.

Memory
I remember that day like it was yesterday.
It was spring, a sunny Sunday, yet a bit chill.

When we step into the young forest,
I noticed it was still sleeping.
There was no young vegetation,
like the winter didn't go away.
Tip of my fingers turned cold,
While we were walking deeper into the wild.
I had to watch out where I put my feet, step with caution.
My childish legs were a bit short for the tall grass,

A thirsty, brave fawn, standing by the shore,
Bent her little neck to drink from a lake,
When, beside a tree growing on a hill,
Saw a reflection of a fairy girl.
The long hair, darker than the night itself,
Silky skin, young, yet pale, bright as Moon crescent-shaped,
With nostalgia-filled eyes, looking at the water’s edge,
Making wonder the brave fawn, what she’s seeking there,
- Maybe, waiting for someone? Or in need for help?
- Only looking at the stars - whispered the tree,
By moving it’s branches on a gentle breeze,
Old enough to know the story of a girl,
