It's been a while, so hopefully you're all well!
As you know, I've won some points that I would like to distribute. So I thought, it's the right time (summer) for setting in motion my small community with an art contest
You probably noticed I love nature, all living things, but above all - plants. I was always wondering how their hidden world looks like from the inside. Do they have feelings? How they perceive the world? Are they conscious, have dreams? Plants world is mystical, inspiring, and totally undiscovered by our animal thinking minds. If humans are kings of the animal world, trees are the rulers among plants. In my childish dreams, trees always were, are and will be pure living creatures gifted with a soul, equal to humans, and sometimes even better than most of us.
I would like you to use your imagination, try to think, feel, and look through a tree eyes and show me what you can see. Remember, trees can be very old, so they could witness a lot. They also can't move, but their roots can reach deep down the earth, their tallest branches can see what lies behind the horizon, and they can be the first that hear a wind whispering about things we don't know yet.
You can draw anything what a tree could see during it's lifetime - other trees, cities built and destroyed, great wars, ancient civilizations, past which no human being ever knew, or future. It's up to you, after all your're only an explorer trying to reveal what's hidden in a tree mind
Already inspired? I hope so, here we go!

Trees, like humans, are the most complex creatures created by the nature. Opposite to us, they keep the connection with the earth, remain the vessels we should protect at any cost.

Two TreesThere was a tree.
A tree without leaves, not dead, but with many needles.
Not for pricking but to protect itself against acid rain and scorching sun.
A tall tree which radiated an imperturbable calm in summer and winter.
Deeply rooted in the earth and high risen to the sky.
There was another tree.
Completely different. Even the bark indeed playfully spotted black and white.
And it wore leaves that played constantly moving with the sunrays.
As soon as the short summer was over, the leaves turned yellow and brown.
Even before the first frost, they sailed away, as there had never been a green time.
Before the memory of summer faded in the mist of yesterday, the first buds sprouted again.
Tender green leaves made their way out of them.
One day the sky darkened and there was a heavy storm.
With a load roar, it swept through the forest, uprooted shrubs and trees.
After days of fury it disappeared as sudden as if it had been only a mirage.
Completely ruined it left the forest.
Barely a tree t
Trees do grow on our remains, and will continue doing that when we become a history (most probably destroyed by our own hands). And they are watching, yet unable to tell us we are doing all wrong. They have souls, and hearts after all.
In the shadow of old birch treeHe walked down the street silent as the dream. Eventually he reached park full of old trees. Lights made streets bright and prevent inhabitants from seeing stars. People were not interested in starts or skies above, but in their own, boring everyday life. Unfortunately, no one noticed tall man in a long, dark jacket.
Children are afraid of the dark no without the reason, but when grow up they learned to call instincts “primitive fears from the barbarian period” as modern psychology tended to say. They are turning off voices telling them to avoid dark and unknown. How anyone can be afraid of the dark if we have nuclear weapon and mathematic formulas to reduce the variability?
Man in the dark coat by now way fitted to great city concentrated of boring, everyday life. He came from places none of mannish languages or psychics by Newton were able to describe. He visited words full of shapes and forms unknown to humans, as skies full of singing stars and speaking clouds. H
I believe trees were like humans once, but when their era passed, God Entities decided to give a chance to something new, a flesh instead of wood, blood instead of sap. They decided to bring trees to our era, let them watch, and so their suffer when see the suffering of others,
I wish more people would appreciate how wonderful trees are. We live side by side all the time, they accompany us all our lives, even if we don't noticed that yet. Fortunately some of us do, which makes me happy
We use trees for many things - food, structure, fuel. And Earth need them too, to counteract our greed.
A big Thank You
All the works were amazing, and I'm grateful for each and every for joining my first dA contest! Keep working, improving, never give up and be proud of your artistic souls!
